Former Leinster prop Paul Wallace believes the Blues need to "go down fighting" in Toulon on Sunday if they cannot get the crucial European Champions Cup points they need.

After pool defeats to Wasps and Bath, their chances of progressing in the tournament are hanging by a thread ahead of their trip to France.

Head Coach Leo Cullen faces a number of selection issues ahead of the game and Wallace believes starting both Johnny Sexton and Ian Madigan could be key to Leinster's success.

Madigan has been linked with a move to English Championship side Bristol, and today, an unidentified French Top 14 club have reportedly joined the chase with both ready to flash the cash to land the Irish international.

Wallace was speaking to 98FM Sport's Jamie Moore and has urged Cullen to start "the best passer in Ireland" more often in a bid to keep him at the province

Wallace was speaking at The Aviva Stadium, a place he wants Leinster to make a fortress for away teams to visit. First though, they need to win in France, something Wallace believes they can do

Victor Costello and Mal O'Kelly also joined Jamie for a chat, hear from Victor on 98FM.COM on Friday, and Mal on Now That's What I Call Sport on Sunday morning from 9am

Paul Wallace was speaking at The Aviva Stadium on Thursday with former Leinster team-mates Malcolm O'Kelly and Victor Costello. They were part of the first ever Leinster team to play in the European Cup, they beat Milan 24-21 in Milan on 1st November 1995 and that team and coach Jim Glennon will be celebrated on the pitch at The Aviva during next weekend's home match against Toulon, kick off at 5.15pm. Leinster have already sold 40,000 tickets for that game and for more information, or to get tickets, visit www.leinsterrugby.ie
