If you're a UFC fan, Saturday night will be like Christmas as UFC Fight Night Dublin takes place in the 3 Arena. The event sold out in 60 seconds so it's fair to say there are a couple of fans in Dublin. Unfortunately, the co-headline event, Joseph Duffy versus Dustin Poirier, has been cancelled because Duffy sustained an head injury in training. Paddy Holohan is the main event in a flyweight fight against Louis Smolka.
In the lead up to the fight, Paddy 'The Hooligan' Holohan chatted to JP about how he was born into his nickname, that he has to lose almost a stone and a half before a fight and if he dislikes the people he goes up against. Also, JP uses the phrase "delivering a beat down". I think someone wants to be a UFC fighter when they grow up.
Here's how the card is shaping up on Saturday with 4 Irish fighters in action:
MAIN CARD
- Paddy Holohan vs. Louis Smolka
- Reza Madadi vs. Norman Parke
- Nicolas Dalby vs. Darren Till
PRELIMINARY CARD
- Mickael Lebout vs. Stevie Ray
- Jon Delos Reyes vs. Neil Seery
- Scott Askham vs. Krzysztof Jotko
- Ericka Almeida vs. Aisling Daly
- Tom Breese vs. Cathal Pendred
- Darren Elkins vs. Robert Whiteford
- Bubba Bush vs. Garreth McLellan
Best of luck to all the lovely, terrifying fighters.
