Johnny Sexton's back in France with a gammy thumb.

The Irish out half has his thumb in a splint after injuring the digit during the defeat to England at Twickenham.

Sexton's back in France where he's under the care of his club Racing Metro.

Coach Joe Schmidt doesn't see Sexton being a concern for the tie at home to Italy on Saturday week.      

Simon Zebo's chances of playing any part in this year's Six Nations aren't looking too good.

The Munster winger's bagged 4 tries in 3 matches since returning to action after a long term foot injury.

But Schmidt was keen to point out the impressive performances of the in place wingers David Kearney and Andrew Trimble.
