Dundalk goalkeeper Gary Rogers spent the early part of last week training with the Ireland senior international team, as Martin O'Neill and his boys in green got ready for Friday's 1-0 win over Switzerland.

He's been speaking exclusively to 98FM's Jamie Moore on our weekly League of Ireland Podcast and says he's "not that far away from lads that are playing in the Premier League."

Newcastle's Rob Elliot, who picked up a serious knee injury last week, and Darren Randolph are both playing in the Premier League this season.

Rogers started by wishing Elliot well in his recovery, it looks like he'll miss the Euros.

Gary's attention is now on Dundalk's top of the table clash with Derry in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division on Friday as Stephen Kenny's team continue the defence of their title.
