The League of Ireland's Director Fran Gavin and branding expert Johnathan Gabay caught up with Jamie Moore on Now That's What I Call Sport to discuss the current merits of the league and the changes Gabay believes could make domestic football more appealing.

The branding expert's findings have drawn a mixed reaction online since being published, with assertions that the league is "not that bleak" and "cool" receiving negative attention in the following days.

Gabay has also stated he has he's received a volley of online abuse since his 18,500 word report were published.

League Director Fran Gavin says time will be spent reviewing the 18,500 word report, before any changes are implemented.

Claims that the League's direction under John Delaney has been "amazing" received a mixed reception on social media, but Fran Gavin knows progression still needs to be made.

"There has been a huge amount of improvements in the league [since the FAI have taken over], there are still further improvements to be made. Part of that improvement is looking at the league generally from lots of different angles. That's what we saw today, he sees it from the bigger picture. That is his opinion."
