Darragh Lenihan will fulfill a boyhood dream today as he lines out against Manchester United, in what he's called the biggest game of his career.
The Dunboyne centre-back has been a regular in the Blackburn Rovers starting 11 this season, but find themselves struggling in the Championship relegation zone.
Despite this, the former Belvedere man is looking forward to an incredible day at Ewood Park "You're playing against world class players like Ibrahimovic, Rooney, Pogba - these are the best players in the world. It will be a great occasion."
Lenihan could find himself responsible for marking the Swedish talisman, who had a remarkable night against Saint-Etienne mid-week in Europe.
"It's a catch-22 really. He bangs in a hat-trick in the Europa League on Thursday night and then on Sunday you end up playing against him. I'll cherish it all my life, to play against one of the best-ever strikers"
As a young boy, the 22 year old supported the Red Devils, but says his allegiance has changed since making the move to England "When it comes down to Blackburn or Manchester United I'm a Blackburn fan end of, and I want Blackburn to win. I won't be thinking of Manchester United if they lose, I'll be only thinking of Blackburn moving forward."
