During the week on Dublin Talks we spoke to John Connelly, whose father AND grandfather were both in the GPO during the Easter Rising. John's grandfather was James Connelly, who Blanchardstown hospital was named after.
During the discussion an English caller rang to express his disgust at the 1916 commemorations and told us he wants the celebrations CANCELLED!
This caller told us he feels "offended and disgusted" that there are going to be 1916 commemorations and that it is insulting to his people.
This angered many of you and caused a lot of trouble on air.
