98FM's weekly sports show "Now That's What I Call Sport" airs every Sunday morning from 9-10am.
Presented by myself Johnny Lyons, this week's show broadcast on Sunday August 10th features the following guests :
1. Collie Moran - Ex skipper of the Dubs who captained 'em to Leinster titles in '06 and '07 looks back on the fabulous victory of the Boys in Blue against Monaghan in the All Ireland quarter final on Saturday.
Oops hope I'm not tempting fate !
2. Philip Doyle - Manager of the moment Philip's performing miracles with the Irish Womens' Rugby World Cup team just outside Paris.
He's guided 'em to an historic win over New Zealand and - after the clash with Kazakhstan on Saturday - should be looking forward to a semi final in the tournament next week.
3. Francis Howley - Former European Tour pro and current Director of Golf at Carton House, Francis looks at the goings on at the US PGA with Rory McIlroy looking for yet another Major.
He'll also look ahead to next month's Ryder Cup.
4. Tristan Farron-Mahon - Tristan used to be an Irish Davis Cup player before injury cut short his career at 22 and he's written a fascinating thesis on the problems facing players outside the World's Top 100 - including the cream of the Irish crop - as they try to break into the elite of the game.
Competitions :
1. 2 pairs of tix for the All Ireland Hurling semi final Kilkenny against Limerick at Croker on Sunday.
Thanks,
Johnny.
