Luke Byrne has revealed that ex Ireland international Damien Duff played a key role in his rehab from a career threatening knee injury.
Shamrock Rovers' defender Byrne missed almost one year of football after rupturing his cruciate knee ligament in a game in Cork last April.
The 23 year old made his first league start since the injury at home to Limerick in a 1-1 draw last Friday and is preparing for tomorrow's game against Dundalk.
He told 98FM's League of Ireland podcast about the help from Rovers' coach Duff, which included some personal one on one sessions!
The former Ireland underage international was asked by Jamie Moore to describe his year of rehab.
