What a year it was for sport!

Dublin won the All Ireland again, Ireland dared to dream at the Euros, the rugby team beat the All Blacks, Conor McGregor made UFC history and the men and women in green won plenty of medals at the Olympics and Paralympics 2016!

98FM Sport brought you 50 live episodes of our flagship sports programme Now That’s What I Call Sport every Sunday morning between 9am-10am and 50 more Now That’s What I Call Sport EXTRA shows between 11pm and midnight every Sunday evening.

With lots of Dublin enjoying a well deserved New Year’s morning in bed, Jamie Moore and team were up bright and early for a bumper two hour ‘Best Of 2016’ show.

If you missed it (which you may have due to being asleep) don’t worry, we’ve podcasted each hour so you can catch up and hear some of our best interviews of the year.

Guests include former Olympic boxer Michael Conlan, who told us out about what he says was a robbery in Rio and what he actually wanted to do to those judges.

It wasn’t all bad news though, sailor Annalise Murphy brought home a silver medal and joined us in studio shortly after landing back in Dublin.

We also caught up with WWE Superstar Triple H, Kerry legend Kieran Donaghy, who revealed that the Dubs fans actually love him and Craig Walsh told the story of how his cocaine and gambling addiction almost cost him his career.

Former Ireland international Keith Treacy brought us inside the life of a professional footballer battling depression in England and going from the massive highs to the lowest lows and we spoke to Emmanuel Petit about his battles with Roy Keane.
