Competition for places is key to success, that’s according to new Shamrock Rovers winger Dean Clarke.
The 23 year old signed a two year contract with the club having left Limerick at the end of last season.
He started their opening two league games, wins over Sligo and Wexford, before an injury kept him out of the away match at Finn Harps.
Clarke returned from the bench in the 2-0 defeat to St. Pats last month and could be in line to start Friday night’s match at home to Galway United.
He says the strong competition for places all over the squad could be their recipe for success this season.
Clarke knows they will get a difficult test against third placed Galway United tonight, his former Limerick partner Vinny Faherty has been in top form for the Tribesmen this season.
