Folks,

98FM's weekly sports show "Now That's What I Call Sport" airs every Sunday morning from 9-10am.

Presented by myself Johnny Lyons, this week's show broadcast on Sunday March 9th features the following guests :

1. Eamonn Coghlan -

As Eamonn himself says, he's no longer the Chairman of the Boards but the Senator of the Boards!

That's a direct reference to his nomination to the Senate by An Taoiseach himself in 2011.

And people forget he's a living legend in the States where he earned the "Chairman" moniker for being the Master of the Indoors circuit winning an incredible 52 of his 70 races on the boards.

Although he'll always be associated with coming fourth in the Olympics on two occasions, Eamonn carved out an incredible career on track which makes him Ireland's greatest ever runner.

As well as winning World Championship gold, he broke his own Indoor mile record for the second time in '83 at the Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey.
And that run's still the second fastest of all time and a European record.

In '94 he became the first man over 40 (trivia fans he was 41) to run a sub four minute mile. In fact, only one other person has achieved the feat since.

Delighted to say Eamonn joins us live in studio to talk about the anniversaries of those last two runs, how the Irish are getting on at this year's World Indoors which is on at the weekend and look forward to the St Patrick's Festival 5K Road Race and Family Fun Run which is on Sunday week March 16th.

2. Keith Wood -

We're back on the Six Nations track after a week's hiatus and Ireland look to get back on course after the slip up against England at Twickers last week.

Woody assesses where we're at after the Italian Job over the Azzurri at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.

3. Fergus Ryan -

With MMA growing ever more popular by the minute, we start the first of a regular series with Fergus who's the host of the Setanta MMA podcasts.

And it's a good weekend to start with Dubliner Neil Seery in UFC London action on Saturday night.

The 34 year old from Finglas fights Brad Pickett.

And Fergus is there to give us the lowdown on the hoedown!

Now Seery's has four fights with the UFC to prove himself the best and earn himself a lucrative contract.

At the moment he's the top flyweight in Europe and in the top 30 in the world.

But he'd love to give up his job as a warehouse manager and bash guys around the place for filthy lucre full time!

Starting on Saturday !

4. Dan Casey -

We're always willing to get in there at the beginning and give some airtime to the up and coming Irish kids ploughing a lone furrow cross channel.

15 year old Dubliner Dan gave up rugby to chase the dream with Sunderland in the North East of England.

He's one of the featured interviewees in a new four part Setanta Ireland series which airs every Monday night from 7pm.

5. Cheltenham Festival -

With the annual Festival just around the corner, we go to air with a comprehensive look ahead to next week's Festival with all the top coaches and riders.

Unfortunately the horses themselves weren't an option !

Competitions :

1. Another Ireland 6 Nations jersey to give away with thanks to Elverys Sports

2. TBC - League of Ireland season ticket for a club of your choice.

Thanks,

Johnny.
