Strong words from former Bray winger Dylan Connolly, who left the crisis club last week to join Champions Dundalk.
Connolly joined Jamie Moore on our League of Ireland Podcast this week, and didn’t hide his unhappiness with his former employers, even referring to his ex chairman as “Denis The Menace”
Last week, Bray Chairman Denis O’Connor told the players that their wages were only guaranteed until next week, and that they were free to find other clubs.
He is now trying to find a new financial backer after the other majority shareholder, Gerry Mulvey, pulled out last week, plunging the club in crisis.
Connolly was the first to go, sold to Dundalk on a two and a half year contract.
“He (O’Connor) came out at the start of the season with a five year plan, and now pulls the plug after six months, it’s shocking.”
“I was told there were no issues, that the money was there. They were all false promises. It’s not fair on anybody, fans, players and the manager too.”
