Shamrock Rovers Head Coach Stephen Bradley is confident his new crop of players will gel together, but knows the process will take time.

The squad have just returned from a pre-season trip to Spain, which Bradley says helped the team to bond in the weeks leading up to a new SSE Airtricity League campaign.

"We knew we'd be able to take the tempo of the sessions down and work on the tactical side of the game, both in and out of possession. It was good for the group to be together for a long period of time, because it's a new group."

Leading this new crop of players will be Ronan Finn, whose first task as club captain could be to go up against his former club Dundalk on February 24th.

Stephen Bradley is hopeful he will be fit enough to take part in that encounter, after an extended post-season break "He should be fine, he prides himself on his fitness so it won't be an issue."
