Broadcasting legend, Bill O'Herlihy joined Ray and JP on the show this morning to talk about 'Remembering Italia 90' which is taking place in the Aviva this Thursday 16th April at 7pm.

The event is part of the “One City One Book” Initiative by Dublin City Council.

The Initiative encourages everyone to read a book connected with Dublin city during the month of April every year.

This year, The Barrystown Trilogy by Roddy Doyle has been chosen.

 The Trilogy includes:

  • The Commitments
  • The Snapper
  • The Van

 

This event, Remembering Italia 90, will relive the football fever which swept the nation and inspired Roddy Doyle’s book, The Van.

Guests on the night who will reminisce about Italia 90’ will be Bill O'Herlihy, Johnny Giles and Eamon Dunphy .

They will show footage of the Irish soccer team's Italian journey and have some special invited guests in the audience, it's sure to be a great night for all soccer fans!
