98FM's weekly sports show "Now That's What I Call Sport" airs every Sunday morning from 9-10am.

Presented by myself Johnny Lyons, this week's broadcast on Sunday August 3rd features the following guests :

CRASH

1. James O'Callaghan -

The High Performance Director of the Irish Sailing Association is living the high life!

He's over in Rio - yes I know the World Cup's over - plotting the right routes for our sailors to qualify for the 2016 Olympics over there.

Already on a recce there is Annelise Murphy on course to go one better than her fourth place in the London Olympics.

And the sailing version of Gerry Fleming has travelled with the Irish contingent as well.

Yes meteorology's finest is one of the chosen few !

A German meteorologist is part of the team with his expert knowledge of the winds around Rio etc adding an extra layer to the squad's preparation.

2. Rebecca Creagh -

It''s not just the males who have Champions League football !

Rebecca's an integral part of the Raheny Utd midfield which has helped the North Dubliners to qualification for the Champions League preliminary stage for the second year in a row.

Ireland's finest are off to Romania for the group stage matches against the host club Cluj as well as Sofia and Hibernians from Malta.

May the best teams win !

3. Philip Doyle -

Exhorting the best team to win also applies here.

Philip is bowing out as coach of the Irish Womens Rugby team after yonks in charge which yielded a Six Nations success for the first time in their history two years ago.

And what better way to go than steering the Irish to ultimate global glory.

Ireland have already opened their World Cup campaign against USA, meet New Zealand for the first time ever on Tuesday and finish off with a match against Kazakhstan.

Go Ireland go !

BANG

4. Barney Rock -

Well it's the closest we'll ever get to the Dubs this year !

Delighted to say one of the Dubs legends Barney is on to examine how the magical Boys in Blue will dissect Armagh/Monaghan/Kildare or whoever else wants to play the Dubs in next week's All Ireland quarters !

Jaysus the GAA sure know how to draw up a fixture list !

Anyways, Barney is beaming with delight as any father would with his son Dean finally breaking through to the Dubs starting 15 and threatening to smash backs of onion sacks.

And - sure if we ask nicely - chanteur supreme Barney will stick on the oul pork pie hat and croon for us !

AND WALLOP

5. Matthew Macklin -

We always keep the best wine till last and the cream always rises to the top!

We dolled up Stevo "The Hairy Man" Doyle in his best UFC MMA gear and sent him into Mortal Combat with Mack the Knife !

Battered and bruised but with a great big cheesy grin on his face, Stevo crawled out of the ring and - looking up at me - said through his blood splattered toothless mouth " Jaysus gaffer that was great" !

And that's why Johnny loves Stevo !

Reports about Matthew Macklin limping into his local A and E remain unconfirmed.

Yep - Stevo met up with top boxer Irishman Matthew ahead of his World eliminator against Jorge Sebastien Heiland at the Stadium next month.

Competition -

Pair of football boots and 100 euro voucher from Nike to give away.

Thanks,

Johnny.
