Dublin man Paul McGee joined Adrian Kennedy on Dublin Talks on Tuesday morning.
He spotted Byrne on the Luas, punched him in the face, threw him off and then posted photos of him online.
A rape victim also said how she wanted rapists like this to be hunted down and murdered while other callers said he should be allowed live his life in peace having served his time in prison.
