The IRFU has announced that the COVID-19 testing of Ulster and Connacht's players and staff this week has produced zero positive results.
118 players and staff across the two provinces were tested last Wednesday, the 24th of June and they've now been cleared to access their training centres from Monday.
Connacht, Ulster, Leinster and Munster's players and staff will be subject to another round of testing after they resume contact training next month.
“The first phase of PCR testing has been successfully completed," the IRFU's Medical Director Rod McLoughlin confirmed this morning. " The players and staff now enter a period of daily medical screening and assessment. The second phase of testing will take place as players return to contact.”
From Monday all four provinces will resume group training ahead of the restart of the Guinness PRO14 season in August. The campaign will get back underway with inter-provincial derbies at the Aviva Stadium on the weekend of August 22nd.
Leinster's Heineken Champions Cup quarter-final against holders Saracens is due to be played on September 26th or 27th with the European final penciled in for Marseille on Saturday, October 17th.
