Adam Clayton is now a proud hedgehog dad after adopting 3 of the little creatures from Linda Martin’s rescue shelter.

The U2 bassist was visiting the rescue shelter as part of his upcoming documentary Ballroom Blitz.

And while he was there, he decided to fully adopt 3 hedgehogs Linda Martin had in her care!

“A few weeks ago we had the absolute privilege of welcoming good friend Adam Clayton to the Hub for an afternoon of tea, chats & fun with all of our gorgeous dogs,” the former Eurovision winner said in an Instagram post.

“From the moment Adam arrived it was pure joy - with a beaming smile, he conversed so intently with all of the staff at the Hub.”

“He was so inquisitive about our work, how the dogs come into our care & he specifically asked about each dog as he passed by their kennel.”

“Adam was full of praise for our staff & all the work we do to help the wonderful dogs and as a big animal man.. he was truly heartbroken listening to some of the sad cases that we have had in our care recently. He wanted to take all of the dogs home and even took a special liking to little Cookie," she added.

Linda revealed that as they were wrapping on filming, Adam noticed someone had dropped in three hedgehogs in a pet caddy.

“As we finished up our afternoon, Adam noticed a pet caddy and inquired what was inside - 3 little hedgehogs dropped into us by @hedgehog_rescue_dublin,” she continued in her post.

“Turned out, one of his children is a mega hedgehog fan. So as we said our goodbyes ... we packed the 3 little guys into his car to take home for release - What lucky little hogs they were.”

“It was a truly magical afternoon at the Hub, spent with one of the Irish greats and a day we will not forget in a hurry."

“Please come back soon Adam, as it was an absolute pleasure and the dogs loved you," she signed off.

Ballroom Blitz, Adam’s upcoming documentary, will explore the world of showbands in Ireland, and is expected to air on RTÉ sometime next year.
