Two teenagers are being questioned in connection with a shooting in Tallaght that saw a number of shots fired at a patrol car.
A teenage boy and a man in his late teens were arrested yesterday in connection with the incident that happened in the early hours of July 24th last year.
The Garda car was targeted after unarmed officers on patrol came across three males in the Rossfield Avenue area. One of them was in possession of a gun while another had a baseball bat.
The male armed with the handgun fired a number of shots towards the patrol car, with one of the shots hitting the vehicle. All three men then fled the scene.
No Gardaí were injured during the incident.
The two people arrested yesterday are being held at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
