Two men are in hospital this afternoon following two separate crashes in Dublin.
At around 4 o'clock this morning, a man in his 20s was hit by a car on St. John's Rd West near Heuston Station.
He was rushed to St. James' Hospital with serious injuries.
The car failed to remain at the scene.
The road has since reopened, and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or the driver of the car to come forward.
Separately, a cyclist is receiving treatment for serious injuries after being knocked down by a car in Balgriffin.
The crash between a cyclist and a car happened on the Malahide Road just after 9:30am.
The cyclist was taken to Beaumont Hospital and the road is currently closed.
Diversions are in place in the area, and Garda forensic collision investigators are at the scene.
