Two men have been arrested following reports of shots being fired at a house in Finglas.
Gardai and the armed support unit attended the scene of the shooting on Heathfield Drive just after 3am this morning, where they confirmed the house was empty at the time.
A car was seen leaving the scene in Finglas at speed, and was located by gardai a short time later.
They say a "contained pursuit operation" was undertaken, and that the vehicle in question collided with an official Garda car on the N4 in Palmerstown.
GSOC has been notified of this incident.
The two occupants were arrested at the scene, and were brought to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A technical examination of the house and the vehicle has been carried out, and investigations are ongoing.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
