Irish Cinema picked up two Oscar's overnight.
Tallaght man Richard Baneham won his second Visial Effects Oscar for his work on Avatar while Northern Irish drama 'An Irish Goodbye' won Best Live Action Short Film.
It was disappointment though for the Banshees of Inisherin which went away empty handed despite having nine nods.
There was also no glory for An Cailin Ciuin.
The audience broke into a rendition of 'Happy Birthday' for 'An Irish Goodbye' star James Martin.
