Two men have been arrested in connection with vandalism to Dublin's Luke Kelly statue.
The marble tribute to the late singer and musician on Guild Street has been damaged five times since it was erected last year.
During the latest incident, red paint was put on the face of the bust of the Sheriff Street native who died in 1984. Paint also appeared on the base of the installation.
The arrests refer to vandalism of the statue in January and March this year.
A file is to be prepared for the DPP.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing into the other matters of criminal damage.
