The X Factor returned to our screens last night for its 14th series.
The first ratings figures released show that the show is down on last year's launch show.
Last night's show was watched by a total audience of 6.2 million viewers.
That figure is down 600,000 on last year's opening show.
According to Telly Mix it was the lowest launch since series one 2005.
However, despite lower figures, fans were loving it online, including One Direction star Louis Tomlinson:
