Things we love to see!
Nominations for the 2023 Emmys came out last night and big shows like Succession and The White Lotus absolutely cleaned up the nominations.
Other front runners were post-apocalyptic drama The Last Of Us and wholesome comedy Ted Lasso.
And as always, we're looking out for the Irish representation among the noms while we have such a stronghold over Hollywood right now!
Bad Sisters got the recognition it deserves with Sharon Horgan earning a nomination in the Outstanding Writing In A Drama Series category alongside her co-writers Brett Bauher and Dave Finkel. And Sligo native Dearbhla Walsh was nominated in the Outstanding Directing category for her work on the show.
We also have Irish representation in the form of Declan Lowney, who directed a few episodes of Ted Lasso!

If you're not familiar with the Wexford man, he's worked with some of the biggest UK comedy shows over the years. He's known for directed well-known shows like Cold Feet, Little Britain and Father Ted. He also won a BAFTA back in 1995 for his work on Father Ted.
So it would be great to see himself, Sharon and Dearbhla get some international recognition!
