It was Jimmy Falon's first time to host the star-studded bash which marks the beginning of the awards season.
The clip features cameos from Ryan Reynolds, Justin Timberlake, Nicole Kidman and the kids from Stranger Things.
Poor Jimmy had only taken to the stage when he had to deal with a presenter's worst nightmare. The autocue was down so he had to wing it for a few moments.
‘Already the teleprompter is down so this is a great way to start the show... What do we do here..? Cut to Justin Timberlake please.’
He followed up with 'I’ll make up this monologue… We’re here. This is what happens at the Golden Globes. Already you have your Golden Globes moment.’
He was finally rescued when a different teleprompter was wheeled on stage.
