The first trailer for the new season of Riverdale premiered at Comic Con over the weekend.
The new clip features a recap of the final events of season 2 and new footage which shows Betty's mother, Alice, and sister, Polly, involved in some sort of cult after spending time on The Farm (the place where Polly went to raise her twin babies after Jason was murdered).
It's been a tough time for the Cooper's after it was revealed that Betty's father Hal was the Black Hood - a serial killer who has been terrorising the town.

Meanwhile, when we last saw Archie, he was being framed for a murder he didn't commit thanks to his girlfriend Veronica's father Hiram Lodge. (Hiram's assistant actually killed Cassidy last season)
Speaking at the event, KJ Apa revaled the new series "starts off with Archie on trial".
"I guess we'll see if he's gonna go away or not", he added.
The new series features a new character who could spell his demise: District Attorneyms. Wright, played by Penelope Anne Miller, who is described as "savy and eloquent".
Elsewhere, things seem to be looking up for Veronica, who is "going to be an entrepreneur in Season 3", according to Camila Mendes, the actress who plays her.
However, it's not all good - she and boyfriend Archie are on the rocks.
I think they're gonna run into some problems," Camila said. "The distance and separation, if he goes away, is going to be tough," Apa agreed.
The panel at Comic Con also revealed that fans will finally get to meet Jughead's mother Gladys and sister Jellybean in season 3 and that there will be another musical episode.
Season 3 of Riverdale premieres on October 10th.
Season 1 and 2 are available to stream on Netflix.
