There's not long to go until the release of the new season of The Sinner. A brand new trailer has landed ahead of the crime drama's return to Netflix.
Season 2 lures Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) back to his hometown in rural New York to assess an unsettling and heart wrenching crime -- parents murdered by their 11-year-old son, with no apparent motive. As Ambrose realizes there's nothing ordinary about the boy or where he came from, the investigation pulls him into the hidden darkness of his hometown. He's pitted against those who'll stop at nothing to protect its secrets -- and the mysterious Vera (Carrie Coon) who proves to be a complicated, enigmatic piece to this haunting puzzle.
Season 2 of The Sinner will premiere on Netflix in Ireland on November 9th.
The first season of the show was a huge hit last year. It followed a young mother, Cora Tannetti, who brutally kills a man on a beach and seems to have no idea why she did so. Detective Harry Ambrose is then assigned to the case to uncover the secrets of Cora's past.
Jessica Biel, who played Tannetti in the first season of the show doesn't feature in the new instalment of the show. However, the actor is the Executive Producer of Season 2.
