BBC has released the trailer for the upcoming adaptation of Normal People.
The series is based on Sally Rooney's best selling novel which made the long-list for the Man Brooker Prize 2018.
The 12-part drama stars Cold Feet actress Daisy Edgar as Marianne and newcomer Paul Mescal as Connell.
Lenny Abrahamson and Hettie McDonald will share directorial duties, while Rooney has penned the screenplay.
The series follows the pairs complicated relationship "from the end of their school days in small-town west of Ireland to their undergraduate years at Trinity College".
It's described as "an exquisite and compulsive modern love story about how two people can profoundly impact each other's lives".
Normal People will be available on BBC Three in the UK and Hulu in the US.
