Fans of True Detective, it's time to get excited again!
It's been 4 years since the last series, but the hit crime series is coming back on our screens, this time with Jodie Foster at the helm.
Each season introduces a fresh cash and nail-biting plot, with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson leading the first season, Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughan and Rachel McAdasms leading the second, and Mahershala Ali and Carmen Ejogo leading the most recent series.

In the first teaser trailer for the new series, we find Detective Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) investigating eight potential murders in a fictional town in Alaska (called Ennis believe it or not), where she’s forced to team up with her nemesis, detective Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis).
We're getting an enemies to lover vibe as we're shown scenes of the two constantly butting heads, but if you watch carefully, we get one second shots of the pair getting closer. In one shot towards the end of the trailer it appears to show the apparent enemies cuddling for warmth 👀
In the official series synopsis, HBO described how the two warring detectives will have to “confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice”
There's no release date yet for when this highly anticipated series will return, although it's expected to be on HBO Max later this year.
