Great news!
Guy Ritchie’s series The Gentlemen has been renewed for a second season.
The show, which is about an “old money” family who gets embroiled in a drug empire, stars Theo James (who you may know from the White Lotus) and Kaya Scodelario (who you may remember as Effy in Skins!)
The two stars are set to reprise their roles for season 2, with Guy Ritchie returning to direct and Matthew Read back to co-write.
The first season follows Eddie after he inherits his father’s country estate and discovers a crime family have been running a cannabis empire on it.
Initially, he plans to cut his family’s ties with the criminals but has events unfold, Eddie realises he not only has a taste for criminality but he’s pretty good at it too.
The show is set in the same universe as Ritchie’s 2019 film The Gentlemen, which starred Charlie Hunnam, Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell and Jeremy Strong - but the same characters do not appear.
The first season of The Gentlemen is available to watch now on Netflix.
