The Friends reunion (minus Matthew Perry) finally aired last night. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer sat down together for the first time in 12 years as part of the NBC special.
The reunion – which was a tribute to TV director James Burrows – also featured the stars of The Big Bang Theory, Frazier and Cheers.
The cast of Friends spoke about the bond they formed.
"At the beginning it was really not a hard thing [to be friends]," Jennifer Aniston said. "We really just wanted to hang out together. It wasn't, 'We have to do this'.
"We really just fell in love and adored each other instantly, and would hang out at each other's houses and watch the show together."
Matt LeBlanc added: "We would all sort of like watch scenes you weren't in, you would watch and think of ideas for one another. Everyone was real supportive of one another."
The cast also thanked Burrows for changing their lives.
Jennifer said, "He really gave us the opportunity of a lifetime and probably the best ten years of our acting careers that we will forever remember.
"We experienced friendship, family, heartbreak, babies, everything together. And we also had a wonderful experience with the world loving us as well."
