The Deceived
New crime series The Deceived is landing on Irish TV next week.
The show is the latest project from Derry Girls creator Lisa McGee and her husband Tobias Beer.
It also marks the first TV performance from Paul Mescal since he shot to fame in Sally Rooney's Normal People.
The series follows the story of Ophelia, a Cambridge student who falls in love with her married lecturer.
Paul Mescal joins the cast as local builder Sean McKeogh, who Ophelia turns to when things get complicated.
Emmet J Scanlan of Peaky Blinders fame also stars as Ophelia's love interest.

The Deceived kicks off with a double episode premiere on Monday 7th September.
