It's weird seeing it get so close to our own living memory isn't it 😅
Season 6 of The Crown will be its last and we're up to the early noughties!
The Netflix show which follows the (more-or-less) true story behind the British Royal family, has dropped first look images at the actors playing the roles of young Will and Kate.
Pretty decent casting to be fair!
So as we're entering the most modern era of the Royal Family's escapades, we'll see Prince William take on life at St Andrew's University where he tries his best to live a normal life.
As we know, he met Kate Middleton in university so no doubt the story will follow how they met and how their relationship blossomed.
So who are these actors with their uncanny resemblance to the royals? As The Crown likes to do, they're relatively unknown.
Playing William is Ed McVey, a 23-year-old who has a lot of experience in theatre as opposed to television (pretty apt for playing the role of a royal though we think). Meg Bellamy, who is just 19, will take on the role of Kate Middleton.
Meg got the role as Kate when she submitted an audition tape after seeing a casting call on social media.
While we don't have a release date for the new series yet, Netflix has promised that we can expect it later this year.
