Ted Lasso is nearing its end!
The popular TV show about a preppy American football coach sent over to the UK to save a failing Premiere League team held the premiere of its 3rd season in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening.
But will this season be the last?
Well the show's creator and titular character Jason Sudeikis heavily hinted this season is "the end of the road" for Ted and the Richmond gang. But is it really the end?
Speaking to the Deadline, the 47-year-old actor said "This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell"
He went on to say the finds it "flattering" to have people wanting more seasons, but hoped that the end of season 3 would satisfy their need for more
"Maybe by May 31, once all 12 episodes of the season [are out], they're like 'Man you know what? We get it. We're fine.'"
So that sounds like a very firm 'no' on season 4. But could there be potential for spin offs? Jason Sudeikis chose his words carefully.
"It’s really kind of folks to even consider that because you never know what’s gonna happen when you make things. The fact that people want more – even if it’s a different avenue – is lovely.”
Ted Lasso series 3 will land on Apple TV on Wednesday the 15th March, with new episodes landing weekly.
