Paul Ronan will make his first appearance in Carrigstown on Tuesday night's episode.
He'll play Anto Collins, Hayley's father in the soap and his appearance will come as a shock to his daughter, who's played by Rebecca Grimes.
His character is set to cause a stir in Carrigstown as Hayley sets out trying to find the reason for her father's sudden appearance.
Paul Ronan has also starred in Love/Hate and Ballykissangel over the course of his acting career.
Fair City airs on RTÉ One tonight from 8pm.
