The Late Late Show has ended its series run as it takes a break during the summer months, and when it comes back in September, Patrick Kielty will be taking over the hosting duties.
So what's next for Ryan?
Well his show on RTÉ Radio 1 show "isn't going anywhere", but he's also spoken about his plans to go down the podcasting and documentaries route.
Speaking to The Irish Sun, the presenter said: “I would definitely be looking at the world of podcasts, and docs and history and books for sure.”
And with the freedom of a podcast and not having to sanitise his image for RTÉ, we could see a totally different side to Ryan!
“You could get Ryan unleashed. After decades on RTÉ airwaves, that kind of freedom would appeal to Ryan.” a source told The Sun.
Speaking during Friday night’s emotional episode of The Late Late Show, Ryan thanked the audience and viewers at home for supporting him throughout his time on the iconic chat show.
“My greatest gratitude – I hope you don’t mind me saying that, I’m dedicating the show tonight to my family.”
That’s what it’s all about. It’s about family, when all is said and done.”
"To Ella and to Julia, I love you so much they haven't created a word for it yet."#LateLate pic.twitter.com/mzRWHkCAgr
