Netflix's reboot of Sabrina The Teenage Witch has officially been given a name. 'The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina' is written by Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre Sacasa, who tweeted the exciting news along with a photo of Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka who'll play Sabrina in the new 20-episode, two season show.
Her character is described as an "empowered young woman, half-human, half-witch, Sabrina is just beginning her dark education as a sorceress, even as she tries to maintain a normal life as a sophomore at Baxter High. Intelligent, compassionate and brave to the point of recklessness, Sabrina is all that stands between us and the forces of darkness that threaten our world.”

It looks like the reboot will be very different from the 90s show, which saw Sabrina portrayed by Melissa Joan Hart.
Sabrina The Teenage Witch originally ran from 1996-2003, and followed an American teenager, who on her sixteenth birthday, discovers she has magical powers. The series, set in the fictional Boston suburb of Westbridge, showed Sabrina learning how to use her magical powers while living with her 500-year-old aunts Hilda and Zelda and cat Salem, a former human who tried to take over the world.
The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina is expected to air later this year. An exact release date has yet to be announced.
We're excited to see the new version of the show. But we'll really miss this guy...
