Netflix has released the full trailer for its new true crime documentary series 'Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez'.
The three-part series examines what led to the murderous fall and shocking death of former NFL superstar Aaron Hernandez.
Via interviews with friends, players and insiders, the docuseries dissects how Hernandez went from an NFL star to a convicted killer.
Directed by Geno McDermott, the chilling documentary also includes some of Hernandez's private phone calls from prison.
"No one has allegedly murdered two people and then played an entire season as a professional athlete", an interview subject says in the teaser.
The former New England Patriots tight end was convicted of the killing of Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro athlete dating his sister.
He was acquitted of the murder of two men in the Boston area.
Hernandez died by suicide in prison aged 27 in April 2017.
Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez will be released on Netflix on January 15th.
