What do you think of this cast so far?
HBO have confirmed the first six actors for the official cast of their Harry Potter series.
Nick Frost will play Hagrid, John Lithgow will take on the role of Dumbledore, Paul Whitehouse will star as Argus Filch, Luke Thallon will portray Quirinus Quirrell, Paapa Essiedu will play Severus Snape, Janet McTeer takes on Minerva McGonagall.
Paul Whitehouse played Sir Cadogan in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Otherwise, the rest of the cast are completely new.
HBO has just confirmed the first 6 cast members for the ‘HARRY POTTER’ TV series:

The series will be filmed at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, which is the same location where Barbie was mainly filmed.
The new ten-year series is promised to be “a faithful adaptation of the iconic books”.
When it was first confirmed in 2023, HBO Max said: “The series will feature a new cast to lead a new generation of fandom, full of the fantastic detail, much loved characters and dramatic locations that Harry Potter fans have loved for over 25 years."
“Each season will be authentic to the original books and bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic and beloved films will remain at the core of the franchise and available to watch globally.”
