For many, it's hard to imagine The Great British Bake Off without Mary Berry. But there's reports that Prue Leith is to step into her shoes when the much loved cookery show moves from the BBC to Channel 4.
The restaurateur, writer and food campaigner is widely tipped to join Paul Hollywood on the programme.
Berry quit the show back in September after the corporation lost the broadcast rights.
Leith previously judged BBC cooking contest 'Great British Menu' for a decade.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “In cookery circles, she’s practically royalty”.
Tv bosses see the 76-year-old as a “like for like” replacement for Mary Berry.
The Great British Bake Off will also have a new presenting line-up after Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins also decided not to "go with the dough".
