The popular Netflix dating show is making its way to this side of the pond!
If you're not familiar with the concept of Love Is Blind, buckle yourself in.
The show started over in the US (where else would a concept this mad originate?) in early 2020 and has become a 'global phenomenon' since. The premise for the show is that it tries to get its single applicants to 'fall in love' without ever having seen each other.
The boys and girls live in separate quarters and do a round of speed dating with each other. Only the speed dates take place in 'pods' where the couples can hear each other but not see each other.
They only see what the other looks like once the guy proposes and they agree to get engaged. Yes, you read that right. Engaged to be married after a few blind dates!
Once the pairs are matched off, they follow them for the next few weeks and right up until the wedding where the couples can either say 'I do' or 'I don't'.
As you can imagine, the episodes are packed with over-the-top drama, fiery arguments and lots of tears. So it'll be interesting to see a UK take on a show so ridiculous it could only be pulled off by Americans 😂

Saying this however the show was so popular after its first season that it's already spawned Japanese and Brazilian versions.
So if you or a friend have exhausted all other options when it comes to dating (or if you're looking to become a reality TV star, let's be honest) then this could be your big opportunity! They're taking applications right up until June 2023.
