Jonathan Pryce joins the cast of The Crown
Netflix announced today that Jonathan Pryce will play Prince Philip in the final two seasons of The Crown.
He will appear alongside Imelda Staunton as the Queen and Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret.
Speaking about the casting Pryce said, "I am delighted to be working with Netflix again."
"The positive experience I had making The Two Popes has given me the confidence to tackle the daunting prospect of portraying Prince Philip."
"To be doing so with Peter Morgan in the company of Imelda and Lesley will be a joy," the actor finished.
Seasons five and six of the hit show are set to cover the 90s and early noughties.
This means we'll have storylines including the breakup of Charles and Diana, Diana's death and a fire a Windsor Castle.
Season four of The Crown is coming to Netflix this year.
While we'll have to wait until 2022 for season 5.
