It's the end of an era for the series!

After 17 seasons, ITV has officially announced the axing of Dancing on Ice.

A representative for the network has said: "Following another successful series earlier this year, Dancing On Ice will be rested in 2026 with no current plans for another series.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the cast and crew who have worked on the show since 2006, and over the previous 17 series, for all of their hard work both on and off the ice."

The news comes after Olympians Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean hung up their skates, bidding farewell to their decades-long partnership.

Dancing On Ice was originally presented by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, with Stephen Mulhern replacing him in 2024.

The most recent panel of Dancing on Ice judges consisted of former Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse, Diversity's Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean. Previously, the show has seen judges such as Ashley Roberts, Emma Bunton, John Barrowman and Louie Spence.
