It’s no easy feat as the actor who plays him, Ian Smith, is now 85 years of age!
Like all soap characters, Harold has had a rough go of it since he first appeared on Neighbours back in 1987.
Harold was first introduced as an old flame of Madge Mitchell and was only supposed to be in a few episodes. But he stayed on until 1991 when Harold was dramatically washed out to sea while on holiday.
In true soap fashion, Harold made a shock return to the show 5 years later, and remained a regular fixture until 2009,
The character has made brief guest appearances in the soap since his exit in 2009, but he appears to be back for good this time.
