Grey's Anatomy has been renewed for an eighteenth season.
Ellen Pompeo will continue in her role as Dr. Meredith Grey on the longest-running medical drama in history.
The current contracts of original cast members Pompeo, Chandra Wilson and James Pickens Jr. are up at the end of this season.
However, new agreements have been secured with all three of them.
Last week, it was revealed that cast member Jesse Williams will be leaving the show this season.
Krista Vernoff will continue to act as showrunner and exec producer, having developed the storyline this season that saw some of Grey's most beloved characters return.
Grey's seventeenth season saw the medical drama tackle the coronavirus pandemic as well as looking at racial inequality and police brutality.
Plans beyond season 18 are yet to be confirmed.
Station 19, a spinoff to Grey's, has also been renewed for a fifth season.
