George RR Martin says that Game of Thrones will have a bittersweet ending.
The author hasn't written the final chapter of his saga yet, but he knows that it will end similar to Tolkein's Lord of the Rings.
So according to Martin, it will be a "victory", but a "bittersweet" one.
Hmm interesting.
The next season of Game of Thrones will take fans of the show into uncharted territory as it's now passed out the books plot wise.
