First Photo From Lizzie McGuire Reboot Released

The first photo of the Lizzie McGuire reboot has been released.

The main cast members from the series are set to return in a revival of the 90s show alongside Hilary Duff.

Disney confirmed the news on Instagram with a new photo of the fictional family, writing that Hallie Todd and Robert Carradine will reprise their role as Lizzie's parents Jo and Sam.

Jake Thomas will return as Lizzie's brother, Matt.

It's understood the four actors met up this week to do a read-through of the script for the sequel.

The series, which was announced by Duff back in August, will air on Disney Plus.

The reboot will follow a now 30-year-old Lizzie who is an apprentice to an interior designer in New York.

An official release date has yet to be announced. However, Disney says it's 'coming soon'.

Lizzie McGuire originally aired from 2001-2004.
