Comedian and actress Deirdre O’Kane is the first star confirmed for Dancing With The Stars Ireland.
The second series of the show returns to RTÉ One on January 7th.

Speaking about the show, Deirdre told RTE "This is a whole new experience for me but what better way to banish the January blues than to take to the dance floor!"
She's the first of eleven celebrities that'll take part in the dancing competition. The second name will be revealed tomorrow, Monday 4th December.
Amanda Byram and Nicky Byrne will return to present the new series, which'll run for 12 weeks.
